Careers at Saltwater Brewery

Work With Us

We're the founders of Saltwater Brewery, and we're hiring across the taproom, the brewhouse, and our apparel production line. Interviews happen in person at the taproom — 1701 W. Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, the first building off the I-95 Atlantic Ave exit, right on the railroad tracks — and many roles include a paid trial shift so we can work a few hours together before anyone commits. Find your role below and email us; we read every application.

The Reef Room (taproom + beer garden)

Bar Manager

FOH (Reef Room) · Full-time · Delray Beach, FL

We're hiring a hands-on Bar Manager to run the Reef Room taproom and beer garden day to day — the staff, the service, and the beer garden nights that make us who we are.

What you'll do

  • Open, run, and close the Reef Room taproom and beer garden — draft lines, cleanliness top to bottom, and pre-shift with the crew before doors.
  • Lead the floor during service: jump behind the bar during rushes and coach bartenders and beertenders in real time.
  • Know and pour our Core Four — Screamin' Reels IPA, Sea Cow Milk Stout, LocAle Golden Ale, and Passion Pit Fruit Ale — plus rotating seasonals.
  • Own the schedule and bar inventory: weekly counts, ordering, and waste control, keeping labor in line with sales without burning out the crew.
  • Verify 21+ IDs and hold the line on responsible service every single shift.
  • Close the night: cash-out, POS reports, walk-through, and a short shift note back to ownership.

What we need

  • 21 or older — we're a brewery, and ours is a 21+ workplace.
  • 2+ years of bar, taproom, or restaurant leadership experience with real staff responsibility.
  • Comfortable actively working behind the bar during peak, not just managing from the office.
  • Solid POS and cash handling experience (Toast, Clover, Square, or similar).
  • Reliable transportation to Delray Beach and availability for nights and weekends year-round.
  • Florida Responsible Vendor / TIPS / ServSafe Alcohol certification (or willingness to complete it within the first 30 days), and legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Pay

$52,000–$65,000/yr, based on experience. W-2, full-time (~40–50 hrs/week).

How to apply

Email your resume (or just your experience and availability) to Manager@saltwaterbrewery.com. We read every one.

Direct applicants only, please — we're not working with recruiters or staffing agencies.

Bartender (Full-time)

FOH (Reef Room) · Full-time, 30–40 hrs/week · Delray Beach, FL

We're looking for a full-time bartender to pour our Core Four, take care of our guests, and hold the bar down at the Reef Room taproom and beer garden on nights, weekends, and private events.

What you'll do

  • Pour the Core Four — Screamin' Reels IPA, Sea Cow Milk Stout, LocAle Golden Ale, Passion Pit Fruit Ale — plus rotating taps, wine, and NA options.
  • Open or close the bar: stock coolers, change kegs, cut fruit, stage glassware, wipe down every touchpoint.
  • Card every guest who looks under 30, every time, no exceptions.
  • Ring in orders and cash guests out cleanly on POS.
  • Bartend Reef Room private events: bar setup, guest-count pacing, breakdown.
  • Keep the well, back bar, and beer garden clean during service — and help the floor when it needs it, because we all help each other.

What we need

  • 21 or older — we're a brewery, and ours is a 21+ workplace.
  • At least 1 year of bartending or high-volume serving experience.
  • Available nights and weekends (Friday and Saturday are non-negotiable).
  • Reliable transportation to Delray Beach.
  • Comfortable on your feet for a full shift and lifting a full keg (about 160 lbs) with help.
  • Basic POS comfort (Toast, Clover, Square, or similar) and legal to work in the U.S.

Pay

$11–$13/hr + tips, base always at or above Florida's tipped minimum. Market-typical all-in earnings for a solid bartender here run $25–$35/hr on strong nights.

Bartender (Part-time)

We're looking for a part-time bartender to pour the Core Four and run the Reef Room bar — nights, weekends, and events. Craft-beer curiosity very welcome.

What you'll do

  • Open or close the Reef Room bar: stock coolers, change kegs, cut fruit, keep the lines, taps, and glassware clean.
  • Pour the Core Four — Screamin' Reels IPA, Sea Cow Milk Stout, LocAle Golden Ale, Passion Pit Fruit Ale — plus rotating seasonals, with clean pours and honest recommendations.
  • Card every guest who looks under 30 (21+ house, non-negotiable) and refuse service when it's time to refuse service.
  • Run the Clover POS: close tabs, split checks, handle cash and card without holding up the line.
  • Set up and break down for Reef Room events — private parties, live music nights, brewery pours.
  • Keep the bar and beer garden clean between rushes, and communicate with the manager, kitchen and food-truck partners, and fellow bartenders so nothing falls through the cracks.

What we need

  • 21 or older — house rule; we're a brewery, and ours is a 21+ workplace.
  • 6+ months bartending, serving, or barback experience, or strong high-volume POS experience you can point to.
  • Available nights and weekends, including at least one Friday or Saturday close.

The Brewhouse

Brewer

Brewery · Full-time · Delray Beach, FL

We're looking for a production Brewer to help us make our Core Four — Screamin' Reels IPA, Sea Cow Milk Stout, LocAle Golden Ale, and Passion Pit Fruit Ale — on a small, tight team where the work is real and the standards are ocean-high.

What you'll do

  • Run brew days on the brewhouse — mill, mash, lauter, boil, knockout — on our Core Four recipes.
  • Cellar work: yeast pitches, transfers, dry hop additions, tank temperature checks, and CIP of tanks, hoses, and lines.
  • Packaging support: canning line setup, keg washing and filling, date coding, and helping load the truck for distributor pickups.
  • Take gravity, pH, and DO readings, log them accurately, and flag anything off-spec to the Head Brewer before it becomes a problem.
  • Keep the brewhouse and cellar clean and safe — hoses coiled, drains clear, chemicals labeled, safety gear worn.

What we need

  • 21 or older — we're a brewery, and ours is a 21+ workplace.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on production brewing, or serious documented homebrew experience with a demonstrated path toward pro-level work.
  • Comfortable working around hot liquids, caustic chemicals, high-pressure gas, and forklifts (with proper training).
  • Able to lift 55 lbs of grain repeatedly and stand and move on wet concrete for a full shift.
  • Reliable transportation to Delray Beach.
  • Available for early morning starts (5–7am) and occasional weekend brew or packaging days.

Pay

$20–$26/hr, depending on experience — market-typical for Florida craft production brewing (Palm Beach County, 2026).

Brewer Helper

Brewery · Full-time, hourly · Delray Beach, FL

This is the hands-on, entry-level production job that keeps our Core Four flowing — early mornings on the brew deck and in the cellar, right alongside our head brewer. No professional brewery experience required — homebrewers welcome.

What you'll do

  • Prep the brewhouse before the day starts — hoses connected, valves lined up, CIP chemicals staged, floors clean before the first mash-in.
  • Assist on brew days: milling grain, mashing in, transferring wort, cleaning the mash tun and kettle between batches.
  • Run cellar work: tank-to-tank transfers, dry-hop additions, yeast harvesting, gravity and pH checks under the brewer's direction.
  • Clean and sanitize tanks, hoses, fittings, floors, and drains — it's most of the job, and it's the reason our beer tastes like our beer.
  • Help on canning and kegging runs, and move grain bags, kegs, cans, and hop boxes from delivery to storage to production.
  • Log batch numbers, gravities, and temps accurately on our brew sheets.

What we need

  • 21 or older — we're a brewery, and ours is a 21+ workplace.
  • Reliable transportation to Delray Beach for early-morning shifts (starts can be as early as 6 AM).
  • Able to safely lift 55 lbs repeatedly and stand or walk on wet concrete for an 8–10 hour shift.
  • Comfortable working around hot liquid, cleaning chemicals, CO2, and confined spaces — we train you.
  • Shows up on time every shift, takes direction, asks questions, and follows a written SOP.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

$16–$19/hr, full-time, hourly — final rate based on experience.

Apparel Production (Saltwater Lifestyle)

Shirt Production Worker (Sublimation)

Ecommerce · Part-time to full-time · Delray Beach, FL

We're looking for a hands-on press operator to print, finish, and pack our Saltwater apparel line — sublimation shirts, heat transfers, and finishing — so every ecommerce order ships clean and on time from Delray Beach.

What you'll do

  • Run the sublimation printer and heat press on daily ecommerce batches — load, align, press to spec (time/temp/pressure), and inspect every piece.
  • Pull the day's pick list, stage blank shirts by size and style, and prep art files for the press run.
  • Color-match against approved samples so a coral looks like our coral — reject anything off.
  • Fold, tag, poly-bag, and hand finished orders to the ship station; flag blanks running low.
  • Batch out wholesale, festival, and Reef Room merch runs when they hit the queue.
  • Keep the press area clean, calibrated, and stocked, and close the day with a short count of units pressed, rejected, and blanks remaining.

What we need

  • 21 or older — we're a brewery, and ours is a 21+ workplace.
  • Hands-on experience with sublimation, DTF, DTG, or heat-press production — you've actually pressed shirts.
  • Comfortable following a spec sheet: time, temp, pressure, alignment, color proofing.
  • A steady, detail-oriented pace — you can run a batch of 40 and have piece #40 look like piece #1.
  • Reliable transportation to Delray Beach and the ability to lift 30–40 lbs of blanks and boxes throughout the shift.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Pay

$16–$22/hr, based on real press experience. A short paid trial batch on our equipment is part of the hiring process.
