Florida's nesting season runs March 1 through October 31, and mid-August sits in the thick of it. Palm Beach County carries more sea turtle nests per mile than anywhere in the country — here are five things that actually help hatchlings this month, starting with a light bulb.
Last night, we were honored to be included in the premiere showing of “Troubled Waters - A Turtle’s Tale,” a film by PBS at the Museum of Discovery & Science in Fort Lauderdale. This film looks at the poor impacts by humans to our oceans and the sea life that lives in it, and highlights what some awesome South Florida organizations like Gumbo Limbo, The Turtle Hospital in Marathon, Loggerhead Marinelife Center, Oceana, MOTE Marine Labs, and our own brewery are doing to help.
